Legal tech at the cutting edge: between technology and law.

In my role as Legal Content Designer and Legal Engineer, I deal with the interface between technology and law. Specifically, we have set up the “Legal Tech Lab,” where we carry out pioneering scientific work on AI and AI applications in a legal context and coordinate interdisciplinary topics.

Thanks to my legal background and my in-depth technical understanding of machine learning, I am able to combine the two disciplines that are most important for our products — law and computer science — and thus provide optimal support at this interface. Working at the cutting edge of technology offers so much potential and freedom, and is therefore a source of great joy.

Our team is characterized by flat hierarchies, and we cultivate open and lively exchange — no opinion is absolute. Furthermore, we strive to work in a data- and metrics-driven manner so that we never lose sight of our customers and specific target groups.

As a specialist editor along with my team colleagues, I’m responsible for all content concerning our digital database for tax law. Above all, that means always being up to date, and keeping track of laws, jurisdiction and politics and analyzing the market are important tasks. Whether it’s news, technical articles, seminars or app solutions, we have to create the content today that’s going to be relevant for customers and their everyday existences tomorrow.

In my role it’s also particularly important to maintain a strong external network. This includes interfaces with experts, authors and speakers, and also close exchange and keeping up our contact with customers.

I really like the fact that I constantly learn new things – we don’t stand still but always keep up with the latest developments, and that lets us create solutions for customers that offer them a genuine plus factor.
